Royal Vibes

Greetings internet :)
There’s something about our traditional attire – An aura of sophistication that I believe no other form of clothing can match.  Now here’s the biggest challenge while buying ethnic wear: Design and Cost. Unless it is your own wedding, it is quite pointless to spend tens of thousands of rupees on an outfit that you’re most likely going to wear just a couple of times – it is tough to get the most wear out of your heavy ethnic outfits.  So, we always prefer to pick something which is traditional but will be on trend for a long time.

SA
SA picked an Anarkali from New Pratibha Saree store(see our previous post) that has the right amount bling appropriate every festivity. Pop of red via lips and nails, she finished out this look with a pearl jhumkas. Also, do try some cute hairstyles like SA did.

AJ
I love my mother’s closet. She has the most beautiful sarees and suits in almost all colours. Half of the time I just keep asking her to let go of some of her sarees so I could make myself a skirt or a kurta out of it!The anarkali kurta that I am wearing here, I got tailor stitched from one of those silk sarees that I found in my mother’s closet. It’s maroon red. I added her heavy embroidered dupatta and chunky chand bali earrings(apparently called Ramleela jhumkas). It’s just gorgeous!

The Traditional Route ft New Pratibha Saree

Woohoo! My favourite month of the year. It's my birthday month. Also, Dashain is just around the corner. The festive season brings immense joy, colour and happiness with it, and some gorgeous fashion. Nothing comes close to the elegance that exudes from beautiful ethnic wear. As the festivities approach, it seemed like the perfect time for us to share some of our favourite pieces from New Pratibha Saree Store's new festive collection with you!

Since this is the first Dashain on the blog, we thought we'd dress extra festive and twirl around like the princesses these dresses make us feel like. We picked our favorite pieces based on -convenience and comfort. For this post, we wanted to do opulent colors so I chose a tangerine orange anarkali and SA loves teal blue.

Hello, Everyone!

Yay!!! It's time to pair up your favorite tops with boyfriend jeans.

It is the ongoing trend in fashion and I couldn't stop myself from buying it. Trust me, I always thought I couldn't pull them off. And now, I m like totally in love with this. Boyfriend jeans are baggy, typically ripped jeans yet they are so cozy and cool. Girls if u r bored wearing skinny jeans, then you can always grab this boyfriend jean. They are just perfect for casual look.

You can pair up your boyfriend jeans either with converse or gladiator..like me. :)

Plain Vs Print

Hi, everyone :)
Working with your best friend is not something people recommend and we are more like the exception than the norm. If you can get it right, it is truly a dream come true. Honestly, sometimes it's like we are the same person. We like dresses more than pants. So, this outfit post is how we style our dresses for a day out.
We like to keep our style simple and real.

SA :  I love prints especially floral. This black and pink/purple floral dress is relaxed, feminine, and perfect for wherever the day might take me. I wanted to go for a sporty look so I paired my dress with grey vans. For the accessories, I added some colorful wooden bangles and my pink backpack.

AJ : Today’s outfit is the definition of summertime boho. I love lace, minimal makeup and second-day curls. Gives the relaxed and natural-yet-ethereal vibe. This dress with ballerina/flats is perfect for a summer day, or you could add some heels to be event ready! For accessories, I wore my fake pearl bracelet. Also, I matched my nail polish (NYC) and my pink lipstick (Mac) for the pop of color.

Thankyou for visiting :)
until then xoxo!

Sale Alert : HamiKnit

I feel like I blinked and woke up in September.

Hi everyone! I am beyond happy for today’s outfit post! I’M READY [minion voice]. Literally could not wait to show you guys our newest finds- HamiKnit sweaters that we got for 40% off. That sounds so awful. They are so awful. So awfully incredible :)

We visited KL tower few days ago and every store had some sort of sale (30%-50%) which left us itching to grab the best bargain. We ( Shabnam and I) dropped in at the HAMIKNIT store to get a peek at what's for grab and found these two similar looking sweaters (one of the reasons why we are besties, our choices match!). Our basics for any season include stripes. The thickness is perfect for fall. Since Shabnam was studying for her preboard I asked my sister to help me.
Meet my sister Aisha

We both paid rs1200 each. They also have sweaters for men, beanies, soft knitted scarves(drool-worthy trust me!) and adorable knitted pillow covers. So what are you waiting for?

until then xoxo :)

Formal Vibes: Soft tee and Pencil skirt

Hi everyone!

I know we all are not that fond of  formal dress up but at at a time we need to be in it. Today I have come up with the idea of formal using the pencil skirt as foundation. You can always pair up your pencil skirt with beautiful and pretty tee shirts. I always enjoy its versatility and this ankle strap shoes is my favorite these days.

Thank you everyone for your time.

Outfit Repeater

Its that time of the year yet again! Its Back to school season. I am an outfit repeater and I like re-wearing the same things because not only are they great outfits but also I'm comfortable in them. So, here are two simple outfits, appropriate for college and the foundation  for these looks, is just a black skater skirt. Also, my skirt is made by my mom. We love doing d0-it-yourself projects :)
